In the following story, explore where their character strengths were demonstrated and helped them to overcome challenges and difficulties.

Elizabeth Arden
1878 - 1966
My name is Elizabeth Arden, but when I was born in Canada in 1884, my parents named me Florence Nightingale Graham. They hoped I would become a nurse, just like the famous Lady with the Lamp.

I tried nursing, but it wasn’t for me. I wanted to do something different—something exciting! So, in 1908, I moved to New York City. It was a big, busy place, full of possibilities. I found a job at a company that made medicines and beauty creams. That’s when I discovered something wonderful—I loved learning about skincare and makeup.
