In the following story, explore where their character strengths were demonstrated and helped them to overcome challenges and difficulties.

Mahatma Gandhi
1869 - 1948
My name is Mahatma Gandhi. I was born in India a long time ago, in 1869. Back then, India was ruled by another country called Britain. I thought this wasn’t fair. I wanted my people to have their own leaders and their own rules.

When I was young, I studied to be a lawyer. This meant learning about the laws so I could help people. I travelled far away to London, England, to study. It was hard at first, but I didn’t give up.
