In the following story, explore where their character strengths were demonstrated and helped them to overcome challenges and difficulties.

Helen Keller
1880 - 1968
My name is Helen Keller. When I was just 19 months old, I became very sick. After that, I could not hear or see. I could not talk to anyone or understand what was happening around me. This made me feel upset.

But my mother never gave up on me. She asked Alexander Graham Bell, the inventor of the telephone, to help us. He suggested a special school for blind children called the Perkins School for the Blind. There, I met my teacher, Anne Sullivan. Anne was blind too, and she believed she could help me. She was patient and kind and never gave up on me.
