Description
This is a set of mental maths challenges which are pitched at different year groups. Children are given several seconds to remember key facts or to perform simple mental calculations. The mathematics spans the domains of the National Curriculum.

- know the number of seconds in a minute and the number of days in each month, year and leap year
- multiply and divide numbers mentally, drawing upon known facts
- recall multiplication and division facts for multiplication tables up to 12 × 12
- round any whole number to a required degree of accuracy
- use the properties of rectangles to deduce related facts and find missing lengths and angles
