Description
Number Rod FDP is a simple visual image, which allows children to see and apply reasoning about the main fraction decimal and percentage equivalences. Unlike fraction walls, which are a static image, number rods can constantly be manipulated, selecting different sections of an image to focus upon, especially when creating equivalent fractions, decimals and percentages. This activity is less of a ‘game’ than many of the other activities in MAP. Instead, it is more of a representation that will help to both secure understanding and aid recall.
