Description
In this Wow lesson, the children will be introduced to the work of contemporary artist Lakwena Maciver. Lakwena is a London-based artist, born in 1986. She has a mixed Ugandan and British heritage. Lakwena paints murals and she has shown work in cities including London, Miami, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York and Vienna, both within gallery spaces and in the form of public art. The children will use Lakwena’s style and journey as inspiration and create a poster for the school community, with bold patterns and a positive message.
