Description
Final Fact is a multiplication number fact and reasoning activity which asks children in Upper Key Stage 2 to work out the ‘final fact’ (selected from a set of cards) by deciding what the starting fact is then either doubling or multiplying by 10 (or both!) Children work in pairs together to discuss how they would get to their ‘final fact’, using the tables facts that they know It is basically the reverse activity to ‘Because I Know’, where children start with a given fact then find as many associated facts as possible. Final Fact is also a great game to practice simplifying many of the SATS mental maths questions – children can design their own ‘Final Fact’ questions and challenge their partners to solve them.
