Description
In turn, show children a variety of images and ask them to say not only how many counters are on the Tens Frame in question, but also anything else they notice. Follow this up with questions to elicit their methods of recognising the amounts. Do the children count in ones, use subitising skills (with addition when appropriate) or use subtraction from ten?
